Several trolleys may be stacked on top of each other and are held in position using the dowel rods which fit into holes in the top & bottom of the trolleys. 

This high quality wooden trolley has three low-friction wheels, a strong spring plunger and three dowel pegs. 

This allows the effective trolley mass to be doubled or tripled.
